Well the petitioner is in the US army so I am assuming that he/she is a US citizen. If that is the case then the process is very easy and simple. The petitioner must be here in the US and not serving in Iraq at the time of filing and at the time of the interview. It is a very straight forward process. You file all the appropriate forms and the immigration will schedule an interview. They want to make sure the marriage is a bonafide marriage on not a fraudulent one just to get a green card.
