How did you meet your spouse?

How did you meet your spouse? Please tell me your story. How did you meet your spouse?
we were in cooking class together. We were washing vegetables for a salad.

She had a great *** and was leaning over the kitchen sink.

She asked me to pass the cucumber so I 'accidentally' rubbed myself against her rear-end, practically came in my pants, and, I guess, she obviously liked the 'cucumber'.How did you meet your spouse?
Well, i met his best friend though my old job and invited him out as i liked him, so we met up one night in town when i was out with girls, he brought his best friend, who started chatting me up, and we eneded up kissing, then he got mt number and harrassed me for 2 weeks then i agreed to go out on a date with him, we've now been together 6 years.
He was a friend of my ex's and he needed somewhere to live so he moved in with my ex. That was how we met. I was pretty shy so I didn't say much but the more time we spent together, the more comfortable I got around him and we got closer. We started play-fighting a lot and one night we got really close and we kissed. Things kinda went from there. We got closer and closer and fell in love with each other. We've been together 8 month now and still going strong.

All the best for the future x
welp during the second semester my freshman year we had a math class together. we never really even talked and hardly even made any eye contact at all. i just always thought he was another junior boy and never really gave him any thought. then once at a basketball game his friends were asking me to a school dance for him, but i didn't believe them. soon he was on the phone asking me to the dance. we went to the dance, had a lot of fun, and started going out the next week. most surprising thing that ever happened to me and i've been in love with him ever since. who would have thought
like we had sorta known each other but i never really talked to him like i would see him at parties and stuff and i was walking one day w. my friends and all the sudden he got out of this car that was just sitting there and we talked and he gave me his number and we hung out and that's how we got together we're not married but have been together for 2years and we have 3 kids together 14month old and 4week old twins and plan on getting married sometime next year

How do you and your spouse communicate amorous interest prior to arousal?

This question is probably not for the newlyweds. If you don't consider yourself as such then do you find it difficult to gauge the interest of your spouse? If they aren't aroused and you are do you feel comfortable showing it? Have you ever found out they were but you missed some mystical window before their interest wained because you didn't read the signs? Is there a body language that supersedes spoken word at play here? How do you and your spouse communicate amorous interest prior to arousal?
After 9 years of marriage I can tell just by two things... if she takes a bath before bed it means that I am not getting any because she has no plans to take a shower before work. If she has not bathed I stand a better chance because she has already planned to take a shower before work... if she has not shaved her legs within the last week.... I know that I am not going to get any... if she comes to bed in the flannel-polka-dot PJ's, I know I am not getting any... now when she comes to bed wearing the satin baby-doll or announces that she is going to ';relax'; in bed and it is no later than 8:00PM... then I am in baby! I don't know if those are signs for you, but that is how I know... Oh Yeah, and if I blow some coin and we take a weekend getaway... then I know that she will wear me out!How do you and your spouse communicate amorous interest prior to arousal?

lol I will tell you something funny. Please take it in the correct context. I once told my husband: If I am not listening or I dont notice just come up to me and stick your d*ck in my ear....that'll get my attention! You have to remember we have a very funny sense of humor with each other....

My hints for you? If all else fails: ask. If you would rather: seduce her.
I am usually always in the mood for trying. My husband knows all he has to do is be nice to me throughout the day and maybe give me some gentle rubs to get me aroused. He does tell me when he wants it and I tell him. We have no problems sharing that with each other. We both enjoy sex.
It really varies on personality, but generally just keep an eye on their eyes, and if you notice them ';noticing'; you, then that's a good hint.

Yeah, I've missed that window of opportunity. It sucks.

The best thing to do is, when you're in the mood, try to get them in the mood without words (i.e. just start kissing, nibbling, whatever turns them on) and see if that will take them anywhere. If I've discovered anything, it's that blatantly asking for it will never get anywhere.
i just feel out the situation. one thing leads to another without much thinking. usually he takes the lead though. i'll pretty much will follow. i'll admit the last time i wasn't so much in the mood because my period was all messed up. we haven't really had sex when i was on my period even though it was late stages of it. i just felt weird. he had to assure me. i mean, i like sex. i like being with him. being close to him. once i was assured i was okay though. next time that happens i probably won't resist. but, yeah it's definitely all about body language. as soon as he starts kissing me, i'm in the mood.
Well, I have been married over 6 years now, we lived together for 3 prior to that, so we have been together long enough now to be able to pick up on these nonverbal signs..... I have it easier than my Hubby because he is extremely transparent!!! :) lol Me on the other hand, I try to call him during lunch and drop subtle hints, just to prepare him for what's ahead!! Then when we get home, I will usually want to delay dinner and go take a bath..... I have noticed that he knows that this is a sign because he will usually say something like, ';I know what you would like, a nice massage';..... Any other given time, I don't receive that kind of offer!! :) As I am writing this, it seems like it would be so much easier just to put it out there, but I guess that is part of the excitement after you have been together so long!

Who feels abandoned by your spouse or parents?

I'm working on a song about people having alot on their plate and not being able to return calls or respond back to their love ones. The song is called ';Alot On Your Plate';. I just want you to express how you feel. THe person who helps me out the most, gets choosen as the best answer. It could be anything from your parents your parents having obligations that's not allowing him enough time to communicate with you back or your spouse working a job that's not allowing them to give you any attention. Anything. Just express yourself. THANKSWho feels abandoned by your spouse or parents?

I am filing an injured spouse form with my taxes. My husband owes back child supp. how much will they take?

will my return be affected, including the eic that we get for our children in the home?I am filing an injured spouse form with my taxes. My husband owes back child supp. how much will they take?
When you file the 8379, Injured Spouse form the IRS will allocate your income, deductions and credits and make the final determination based on the way you allocate the exemptions on the form. Be very careful when filling out this form.

There is no way to know until they inform you how much you will receive. This could take up to 11 weeks if you file the form electronically with your tax return and up to 14 weeks if you send it. I have linked the Form 8379 from the IRS below that may give you more information.

I hope this helps.

**This advice was prepared based on our understanding of the tax law in effect at the time it was written as it applies to the facts that you provided.I am filing an injured spouse form with my taxes. My husband owes back child supp. how much will they take?
since you're filing the injured spouse you will get all your refund, only his share will be taken.just be sure to claim the kids in your space on the form.the irs will decide how much EIC you are entitled to based on your own earned income as if you had filed a seperate tax return from your spouse.

if you send the form with your taxes your refund will be delayed for 11-14 weeks. if you send it about a 2 weeks after filing your return then it will only be delayed about 6-8 weeks.
The EIC is allocated to each of you based in part on how much each of you had in earned income.

The rest of the refund depends on the state and/or how much you made.

What do you do when everyone else gets you hot except your spouse?

What if you no longer felt sexually attracted to your spouse and fantasized about others? Would you recommend this person to go to counseling? Should this person tell their spouse whats going on? What if you were constantly turned on by others, and tried to go home and have sex with your spouse but it didnt work out? What would you do?

PS dont suggest divorce, this person is still in love with their spouse, just not turned on by themWhat do you do when everyone else gets you hot except your spouse?
sorry to say, but this is when people cheatWhat do you do when everyone else gets you hot except your spouse?
use your imagination and fantasize lol that usually works
Depends on the people. I would never tell my husband ';I am not turned on by you';, but we both know that sex is pretty low on the list of important things in our marriage, and we're both ok with it. If sex and sexual chemistry is very important to you, I would try and figure out what went wrong in the marriage that made the initial chemistry disappear like that. Maybe it's something you two can change if you pay attention to it - and maybe it's just in your (or his) nature to lose sexual interest after being together for a while. What has your experience been in previous relationships? Were you able to sustain your sexual interest, or does your mind tend to wander after some time together?
that was a difficult one for me too so we discussed it like adults and decided on an open marriage.
Hi

I would start to masturbate in front of her. maybe that would turn him/her on and away you go with good sex.
Learn to fake it! If you love someone, you'll try and satisfy that part of their life. Love is all about giving so dig deep, be convincing and provide the physical aspect as well.
The couple need to agree to get into counseling. A marriage counselor or sex therapist may help. Maybe they need to try a strip club (Husband at a female strip club/ wife at a male strip club) Then meet up at a certain time to go home :)
Well I would talk to them and then suggest therapy together..ALSO therapy for yourself
fake it. If you still love him and want to be with him then continue to make him happy. you can always use your imagination to make it spicy. It's all a matter of mind, you need to reteach yourself to be attracted to him. find things about him that turn you on and go from there.
Sorry but I can honestly say I would not be in love with someone that turned me off.

Unless his wallet was HOT LOL! Sounds that that is what is keeping you around too. We all do it for the money, eh?

LIke the others said, you are in the beginning of the desire to cheat.
Close the eyes and think of someone else. Watch porn and think of someone else.
Well, you can always put them in sexy clothing. Of course not every outfit fits for everyone, but if you know your partners body type, you shold be okay.
I'm right there with you. Maybe we can help each other out with this
Sorry, but I don't buy it. If the one spouse isn't sexually attracted to the other, then it isn't ';love.'; Time for a divorce before the other spouse gets humiated.
then screw everyone else that gets you hot.
We have been friends all this time and I didnt know.....Just kidding.

Get something on the side to take the edge off.
Well then this person need to find out the reason why s/he does not find their spouse sexually attractive. This could be done by themselves by make a list or by consulting with a counselor. One s/he has the answer, then work on each on of those issues. And please do not tell the spouse that you feel unattractive, you will break their heart. Try to be subtle about resolving your issues.
WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK COUNCELING IS ALWAYS THE WAY TO GO? SAVE YOUR MONEY HONEY. IF THE THRILL IS GONE THEN YOU SHOULD BE TOO. WHEN YOU START THINKING ABOUT SEXIN' OTHER PEOPLE INSTEAD OF THE ONE YOUR WITH, THEN YOU NEED TO TELL THIS MAN HOW YOU FEEL.

  • Have you ever gotten your spouse a reloadable debit card while they were deployed?

i was thinking about doing it since we are trying to keep finances in line.Have you ever gotten your spouse a reloadable debit card while they were deployed?
Have not done this for that reason, but did do something similar for my teenager. So I just have a suggestion for you. The prepaid debit/credit cards charge you a monthly fee....you are trying to keep your finances in line, so why not save a few more bucks. Open another savings account with your bank, and get a debit card. No fees and you can set a certain amount of money to go directly to that account every paycheck. Also if there is an emergency and he needs money for something, you can do the transfer of funds right online or over the phone.Have you ever gotten your spouse a reloadable debit card while they were deployed?
I know people who have done that with good results. Just make sure the card can be used overseas because some of them can't. And be aware of the charges they'll have for overseas transactions that require money being changed from dollars. And the costs, if any, for every reload. Knowing those basic facts about the card may affect the way you use it.
My husband has a low limit credit card that I pay off each pay so if it's stolen we won't be ';dinged'; more than a couple of hundred and it helps keep him from buying out the entire Bazaar...lol...

Special allowance for enlisted military spouse and dependents?

Do spouse and dependents still get an allowance over and above the enlisted military member? If so how much for for an E7Special allowance for enlisted military spouse and dependents?
Allowances such as what? If you are deployed theres the family sep. You get housing with dependents. After a certain rank you no longer get the BAS. But otherwise, just because you have a family, they are not entitled to extra allowances.

I stand corrected on the BAS, once you are an officer, the amount is lowered by approx. 90 bucks.Special allowance for enlisted military spouse and dependents?
no. spouses or dependents do NOT get paid by the military unless they themselves are in uniform.

How did you meet your spouse?

and was it love at first sight? How did you meet your spouse?
At a friends Barbecue Summer Party.

I'm not sure it was love at first sight but there definitely was a connection the second I looked into his eyes and he was so easy to talk to and was a great listener. How did you meet your spouse?
We met through a friend. Talked on the phone for a couple of weeks. He would tell me that he wasn't going to say a word to me when we met but would just kiss me. Didn't really have any intentions of having a relationship. I drove about 45 minutes away to meet him one night. When I got there I called him and told him I just pulled up. He came outside and i got out of my car. It was snowing. Hard enough to be beautiful but not stormy. We met under the street light in the snow. We didn't say anything. We smiled at each other and he grabbed me and gave me the most amazing kiss of my life. It was like a fairytale:)

How did you meet your spouse/partner/ or person you are in a relationship with?

I went to a Halloween costume party with my dad, so he'd have somebody to walk home with. Happily this party had people my age so I didn't have to be gawked at too much. He was in a firefighter uniform, a real one, and so I was interested from the start since I was in training to be an EMT at one point. My memory of events is pretty hazy thanks to the ';witches' brew';, but I remember talking with him and my dad for a while, and then my dad left to talk to somebody else. My guy got all ticked off at a weirdo in a pimp outfit for spilling beer on me...All the people started hollering when he kissed me...At the end of the night he had trouble programming my number into his phone so I had to do it for him...he called me an hour later, at three in the morning, and we talked until the hangovers set in.

Then the next day I was really happy it was cold outside because I got to wear a scarf and hide all my bright purple hickey marks.

We've been together four months now.How did you meet your spouse/partner/ or person you are in a relationship with?

How do I stop my spouse from tracking what I do on the computer?

While the first answer really is the best, it still doesn't assist you in what you really want to do. OK, here goes nothing. Download Microsoft spyware solution at

http://www.microsoft.com. Go to security downloads and you will find it there. It is free. Once you download it and have it installed go in and access the ';erase my footsteps'; or footprints whatever it says. Check all the boxes for clearing out your steps. For what you want you will need to check every box, or your spouse, if computer literate, will know how to track you by going all over inside your computer. This program will erase all the history of what you have done everytime you log off or turn off your computer. YOu will have to be really quick and turn off if he comes into the room, but then why are you doing things you don't want him to see while he is home? YOu really shouldn't be doing anything he would not approve of, but you could be just trying to plan a nice birthday party or purchase a surprise gift. It doesn't have to be a bad reason why you don't want him to see what you are doing. Good luck. How do I stop my spouse from tracking what I do on the computer?
Bring your spouse to a marriage counselor and tell him that you want him to tell your spouse to not track what you do on the computer.

When the counsellor points out that you shouldn't be doing anything on the computer you don't want your spouse knowing about...LISTEN TO HIM!!!

Did you dance with your spouse the entire length of the song?

My fianc茅 and I are debating our first dance song. We have 5 in mind. Two songs are about 5 1/2 minutes long. One song is 3 minutes and the other two roughly 4 minutes long. I know I'm probably over-reacting but I think people might lose interest in watching us dance for 5 minutes. I'm just curious of other people's first dance. Did you cut the song short? Did others join in after a period of time? Please give me your experiences...thanksDid you dance with your spouse the entire length of the song?
I had the same dilemma! My hubs and I danced to ';Sweetest Love'; by Robin Thicke, which is really long AND repetitive. We faded it out after a few minutes and it was great. I'd recommend that, otherwise, people will lose interest.Did you dance with your spouse the entire length of the song?
If I may be so bold, no one cares whether you dance with your spouse. The reception is all about them and their needs for alcohol, rubber chicken, a slice of wedding cake and free entertainment. So please keep your dance to the absolute minimum length required to keep the wedding photographer happy.

I'm not trying to put a damper on your wedding song. I'm just trying to inject some much needed realism into this discussion. The moment you say ';I do'; you're done, and the rest of the day and night is all about the guests you have invited to bear witness to your wedding.

I'm wrong about a lot of things, but trust me on this one. And if you really care about your guests, then you'll choose an up tempo number for your wedding song. (Might I suggest something from the Tito Puente catalogue?) Regardless, just keep the tempo up and the bar open and I can guarantee you a memorable reception.

    Good luck and have fun.
Yes. My wife and I danced the entire 4 1/2 minutes of our song.

We had the MC invite people onto the dance floor to join us but they didn't.

I am a DJ and what I do for my customers is if they get tired or want to stop, the groom looks directly at me and nods once. I then fade the song out.

    Works every time.

People will lose interest after 30 seconds of watching you dance. Just pick whatever song you like the best. You could tell your DJ or whoever is running the music to invite people to join in and dance after 2 to 3 mins of playing the song if you are ok with that.
I'm not married, but I've been to plenty of weddings, and usually the married couple dances through the whole song, and then OTHER couples join in.
I experienced a ';squirt'; during the song, and since I had a white tuxedo on, I thought it was best if I ran off to the bathroom immediately
We danced, then the bridal party joined in, then the parents joined in, then all the guests were invited to join in.
We faded the song off after 2 minutes

Is it normal to have a deeply internalized hatred for one's spouse's twin's significant other?

My husband is an identical twin, and I loathe his twin brother and this twin brother's girlfriend. I can't really figure out why, but I get extremely fired up just hearing about them or seeing them. Why could this be? It doesn't make any sense and is difficult for me to deal with, because I know it's not rational. Is it normal to have a deeply internalized hatred for one's spouse's twin's significant other?
';It doesn't make any sense';, means that they haven't done anything.

Hating is hurting you and your relationship and it is coming from you simply, because he is your husband's twin. Yes. Find out what you are thinking and why you are threatened, fearful or jealous. C. :)!!Is it normal to have a deeply internalized hatred for one's spouse's twin's significant other?
Maybe somethings to do with you past lives ,but let me tell you that's when you thinks bad , bad energy will be created around you and when you thinks good , good energy will be created around you ,to much bad energy is not good for humanity.
I would wonder if you see in his twin issues that you don't like to deal with in your husband and becasue he's not your husband it's easier to dislike them in his brother?? ABout the girl friend maybe you think that she brings out these issues that you dislike in your husband and see in his brother. That may not be it but it sounds like it could be an answer to me. Hope that it helps.
i think you are jealous of the twin relationship
too many details are needed here to even begin to answer--I suggest you talk to someone you trust who knows everyone, or even consider a therapist. How about discussing with your husband???
Could you be jealous of the close bond your husband experiences w/ his twin??? It's true that most twins feel exceptionally close to their twin in ways they don't ever feel towards other people.

How do you and your spouse deal with the last chip?

When there is one chip left in the bag, do you:

    1. just grab it first and eat it

    2. wait, and let the other person take it

    3. ask the other person ';do you mind if i have the last chip?';

    4. tell the other person ';the last chip is for you, go ahead';

    5. it doesn't matter because you're not really into chips so you don't care.

    6. other, we argue back and forth for 10 minutes. ';no you have it'; ';no you, i dont want it i swear'; ';no its ok i want you too have it'; until finnally we are both so disgusted with our curtosey that neither of us want the stupid chip. How do you and your spouse deal with the last chip?
well, I'm not really into chips, but I think the nice thing to do is just say, ';oh no there's only one chip left'; and if the other person hurries and grabs it then they must have wanted it real bad, no biggie. if the other person kinda shrugs or doesn't seem to care, then I will eat it.

on the other hand, if I was really craving that last chip and I hadn't really eaten very many but the other person had been stuffing his face I would totally grab the last chip and eat it. : )

Since my wife never eats chips, that only leaves me fighting with the other seven kids in the house. It is a battle royal for the last chip.
    4.

and sometimes 6, which would be that there are always crumbs and little broken ones on the bottom, which my husband has no interest in. He makes fun of me for eating every bit of them.
    6. The last chip is crumbs and my son can have them. I'm not married and I'm not into crumbs. lol Now, the FIRST chip? I'm probably going to fight someone for that. lol
I ask who in the hell has been eating all of the chips.......then I go to the store to get some more.....maybe I'll get some french onion dip to go with it this time.....hmmmm
    1. if hes not home

    2. if im not really feeling like eating chips at the moment
Unfortunately my kids handle this one, the last chip is always gone before I even realize it--gluttonous little twits--LOL
4, I always offer the last of whatever it is unless she offers first.
6, I go and get another bag of chips.

Consider getting training in the field that interest him. The more he knows or the paper that he can show proving that he knows somthing, then the less people are going to want to know about the past. But, dont be secretive about where you've been and let your boss know before he finds out from others. What are some careers my spouse can pursue if they have a felony conviction?
Blue-collar jobs, public transportation, self-employment, cable installation, some package deilvery companies, moving companies, restaurant (non-chain) jobs, some truck driving companies...I work with felons and these are some of the jobs they have. Some start out at temp agencies and if they do well the company will hire them full-time.What are some careers my spouse can pursue if they have a felony conviction?
    Work for herself!
many industrial jobs may overlook this, i have worked with many felons
Your community should have a United Way chapter that will be more than helpful in recommending programs and agencies that can be of help to you. They won't find you but if you find them, they will be able to turn things around for him with career planning, counseling, training and whatever he needs to erase the past and live for the future.
leave the country, you shouldn't have to deal with that type of b.s.

Are there days when your spouse or partner gets home that you just run out the door?

and are ready for time to yourself??

I'm SO there, lol. I could really use a nice hot shower and time to relax! Are there days when your spouse or partner gets home that you just run out the door?
Same here! Love my kid to pieces, but we are only human, and when you're the main caretaker of little people (children) you gotta recharge your own battery sometime! My dilema is I want to escape WITH my husband, and re-connect with him. So it's a work in progress...Are there days when your spouse or partner gets home that you just run out the door?
O I would love to take a warm bath without the kids running in the bathroom stripping down trying to get in, I would also like to lay down and take a nap without the baby crawling all over my head, I would like to sit down and watch a good movie without hearing ';mommy we want to watch Dora';...........yep I would like to run out of the door and get a break but then I would feel bad so I guess I'll stick around lol
I'm stuck, my fiance works away from home, and I only see him a few days a month, so I feel like I should spend time with him while he's in, but I will admit once when he was in he was sitting on his computer relaxing, and my son was acting up... so I literally just walked out the door, got in my car and went for a drive, needless to say the whole 15 minutes I managed to escape my fiance was calling me over and over asking where things were and what he should do about this, so my little trip was short lived, but I was proud of myself :)
    No...

There are, however, many times when he comes home that I jump on him and pull him into the bedroom ;) Specially now, considering we have so little time before he goes on MSF assignment =(

His hours are so weird that nothing's open by the time he gets home, so if I want ';me'; time it's in the mornings on days when he's home until noon or something of the like. Then, yes, I'm practically making a jailbreak!
Oh yeah! I make sure the house is cleaned, my son is taken care of, their dinner is cooked.....and I runnnnn like the wind. You have to have ';me'; time or your going to go crazy. My ';me'; time is my bi-weekly trip to the local beauty school for a manicure and pedicure on saturdays. It's cheap, relaxing, and I don't have to hear ';Mommy'; every 5 minutes.

    I like your question btw.
No, I actually get home 2 hours AFTER him. But once Eli goes to bed, some nights yes, I run out the door a minute after I put him to sleep!!!
LMAO my wife like pounces on me when i get through the door and i just want some time to myself to unwind and at least get a shower
I usually just feed everyone and let them hound him and I hide in my room and watch novelas
I would like to state that I love my child with all of my heart and soul but there are times I need to get the H E L L away from her or I will go batty.
Ugh, the last time was today. That didn't happen. I'm not happy with him at the moment lol

Can a spouse cause a security clearance to be denied?

If the spouse has an warrant for their arrest in another state, could that cause someone's security clearance request to be denied because it could be used against them as blackmail? Can a spouse cause a security clearance to be denied?
Short answer, yes. Not because of blackmail but rather because you associate with potential criminals. Can a spouse cause a security clearance to be denied?
Having had three security clearances, you never know what the investigating agency is going to focus on. In my case, they were all paranoid about the fact that my father-in-law was born in Spain. They thought Spanish agents could use his loyalty to Spain against me. Give me a break! He came to the United States at the age of 18 months!

In your case, they'd probably be worried that you'd protect your spouse instead of your country if it came to that. Best get that cleared up.

My spouse is about to direct a church play, should I present her with a gift at the end of the performance?

It seems actors often give a gift to their director and vice versa, but should I as the director's spouse do the same?My spouse is about to direct a church play, should I present her with a gift at the end of the performance?
That would be an excellent gesture! A bouquet of roses would be most appropriate for the occasion not to mention in keeping with the traditions of the theatre. My spouse is about to direct a church play, should I present her with a gift at the end of the performance?
A nice bouquet of flowers waiting back stage would be perfect. Or perhaps a gift certificate for a massage at her favorite spa. I'm sure she's been under a lot of stress being the director.

The cast and minister should present a small appreciation gift to her at the end of the performance. If you are worried that they have forgotten, you can mention it to the minister or his secretary.
Very nice gesture. Since it is a church play though, I would not get in the habit of giving her rewards for such since her service is to the Lord and not a job. You may try showing your appreciation by giving her random gifts for no reason. She'll love it.
IF you don't want to do it yourself, get with her cast, %26amp; all of you decide what to give her, then when the play is over you can give her the gift %26amp; tell her it from yourself %26amp; the cast for all her hard work %26amp; dedication.
A bouquet of flowers would be nice, though she might be burdened by it if you present her with them at the end of the performance. Perhaps you can have them waiting for her at home.
I think presenting her with a bouquet of flowers would be well appreciated. And tell her you're proud of her.
Simple answer,no. The cast could, but not you.
Yes it is a sign of respect.
    its a church play?

ummm no a firm hand shake should suffice
flowers would be so thoughtful and sweet

Is it acceptable to cheat on a spouse with their best friend as long as you pay for the sex?

If you pay for the sex, doesn't it just become a ';business transaction'; rather than something morally wrong? Is it acceptable to cheat on a spouse with their best friend as long as you pay for the sex?
no its wrong anyway you put it..how would you feel if your wife did that to you..... and no its not just business if you think about its pretty sad you had to pay someone to get into bed with youIs it acceptable to cheat on a spouse with their best friend as long as you pay for the sex?
    NO you pig.
it is not acceptable even if you paid for it.that makes you a adulterer and her a prostitude.you are not only hurting her but you as well
Wow, I think another ';business transaction'; you need to make is to a psychologist to figure out what is wrong with you, and maybe to a divorce lawyer, because no one in their right mind would stay married to you.
Yes. Be sure to write it off on your taxes. If your wife catches you, just show her how much money you're saving on taxes.
    yea, right. Let's see, what possible positive attributes can you ascribe to ';Cheat'; and ';prostitution.';

Once you answer that, you can declare your self a certified sociopath.
for you yes...for your wife.....it's adultery plain and simple. for your wife's ';best'; friend...wel she obviously isn't because if she was she would never dream of hurting her in that manner.
without your Wife's consent (like She's really gonna give it), it is wrong, whether you pay for it (stranger or not) or it's Her Friend, free or not.
Cheating on your spouse is wrong, plain and simple. If you need strange that bad, then get divorced.
No, it's cheating if you have sex with anyone other then your spouse, no matter who it is or what the circumstances are.

Your scenario just points out that your spouse's friend is a whore!
no it just lowers the scumbag quotient
business transaction...? Wow that is a first..lol

it isnt a business transaction, it is still adultery and prostitution
Ted K, I think you hit the nail right on the head. I like you outlook on life!
If you are attempting to justify cheating by paying for sex, congratulations! You have just hit a new low in morality, champion of the dirtbags.
how would u feel if ur spouse did that to you? now ask urself that question!!!
No cheating paid or not is not acceptable at any means.
I don't know if people like asking these type of questions just to see the myriad of aghast and disgusted answers or because the actually were born without a conscience and common sense.

It is cheating if you do it with anyone man/woman/goat known to your wife or not. By going through with a catholic marriage ceremony you promised to love and cherish her and be monogamous and faithful...even if you were not married it is a scumbag thing to do. You do not know what diseases you are then exposing your wife too without her knowledge.

You obviously think pretty lowly of women, 'Canceling out' this carnal relation by buying a human body. If all you want is an object to stick you wenis in, invest in a pocket p***y and save your wife the humiliation and disrespect.

You honestly have to ask this question?

Has anyone been badly affected with a spouse that has narcissistic personality disorder?

I have experienced so much emotional trauma from my husband that I believe has NPD. We're not together now but the emotional pain is still very difficult to get over. Our relationship definitely fit the pattern with this disorder of first idealising me, then devaluing me and finally discarding me. Anyone experiencing a similar situation?Has anyone been badly affected with a spouse that has narcissistic personality disorder?
hmm have you thought of the possibility of borderline personality disorder? just an idea...sounds really difficult- I'm sorry. There is help out there for you after being exposed to his issues. Talk to a therapist in your area if that's something you would like to pursue.Has anyone been badly affected with a spouse that has narcissistic personality disorder?
Yes, that is why he is now my EX husband

  • How did you tell your significant other/spouse you were pregnant?

And was it a planned thing, or woopsies? How did you tell your significant other/spouse you were pregnant?
After thinking I was pregnant I took 4 test within 3 days and all of them were positive. When I got ready to tell my boyfriend I called him into the bathroom and said, I have something to tell you then I handed him the test. It was unplanned but we're as happy as can be.

Be creative or just tell him.How did you tell your significant other/spouse you were pregnant?
It was totally not planned, but we had both been saying that we had wanted a baby.

I woke up before him (typical) and I just decided to take the last test I had at the house (I knew but had been getting negatives for almost a month so he doubted I was). I laid it on the bed next to him and when he woke up and came out to the living room, he said he saw it but didn't look at it so I made him go back in the room and look at it. He was in total disbelief and thought that I had one of the other girls that I know that are pregnant come over and pee on the stick, so he went out and bought a TWO PACK and made me take them both a few hours apart. He was so happy after though and would not take his hand off my belly. When we went to bed that night he held me (with his hand still on my belly) and said ';I love you two.'; Cutest thing ever!
Well mine was obviously unplanned lol.

    At the time when I found out, my boyfriend and I had broken up. My sister had to leave him a voice mail telling him ';umm.. sarah is pregnant, please callback asap.';

I was so shocked at the time.

but yeah, it was all crazy.

but glad we got back together!
I was going to wait until he got home from work but an hour after the clinic confirmed i was pregnant I started gushing blood. He happened to call me and asked what was wrong so I had to tell him. But things turned out ok, I'm 37 weeks with a baby boy today.
it was planned. and i just told him to his face =) it takes two to make a baby so why should i feel coy.

Can u apply for a tourist visa to US when u already have a spouse visa immigrant application applied for ?

i want to know that can a person who has already filed for an immigrant application under spouse category apply for tourist visa ?Can u apply for a tourist visa to US when u already have a spouse visa immigrant application applied for ?
If the case presented looks reasonable and the person can convey the need to travel properly to the visa officer, then the person might get visa or else he/she is just wasting money.....

Anyway I would suggest that it is better to give a try....just couple of hundreds of dollars will be wasted...which is nothing!!Can u apply for a tourist visa to US when u already have a spouse visa immigrant application applied for ?
Yes. As always, the burden of proof will be on the applicant to convince the American Consular Officer who does the interview that he/she will not overstay.

Assuming that the one spouse is a US citizen, the foreign spouse could immediately file an I-485 to adjust status upon arrival in the United States. Therefore, the odds of getting the tourist visa are poor, but not impossible.
Yes.. you can. But, you need to be with honest in your application. Where you need to answer a questions like.. have you ever applied any kinda of visa before? or Rejected? ect...

It is upto the counsular officer to approve it nor deny it.
Yes, you can. However, there is no grantee that it will be approved. Lots of times, it will be denied due to immigrant visa pending.
It is best to only file for 1 visa not 2. If you go for 2 then they will start to believe your lying on the other applications and only trying anything it takes to get in the US
You can apply but it will likely be denied on the basis that you are not

    a bona fide nonimmigrant.

If I win a judgment in small claims court, can I put a lien on the house of the debtor's spouse?

I am in California, a community property state. In other words, can a spouse be held liable for a person's debts? If I win a judgment in small claims court, can I put a lien on the house of the debtor's spouse?
If the home is owned only by the spouse then no you cannot place a lien on the property. However, many states do not allow one spouse to own real property separate from their spouse. Thus you could, by registering the judgment in the county where the property is located, prevent the sale of the property without first satisfying the judgment.

You would need to verify this with a local attorney as laws vary greatly from state to state. Good luck.If I win a judgment in small claims court, can I put a lien on the house of the debtor's spouse?
Yes. As you are in a community property state both property owners are responsible for your judgment except:

If they have a pre-nuptial agreement excluding prior debts.

I have collected a debt of a woman who created the debt with me when she was unmarried and went on to be married and own a home with another gentleman.

I got a small claims judgment against her and proceeded to place a lien on their common property. When they tried to sell the home I was paid off by the title company.

    Thanks for asking!
    Hi,

I used ';Credit Solution'; to settle my debt and improve my credit score. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate. Icame across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

    http://lnkurl.com/25
No. The judgment is against the debtor themself. You can however apply to have wages garnished.
Only if his name is on the deed or if she is also a defendant.
not unless the debtors name is on the house.

Is it true that most couples start looking like each other, as years go by? Do u kinda look like your spouse?

or does it stat from the beginnning?

most people choose others that look similar to them?Is it true that most couples start looking like each other, as years go by? Do u kinda look like your spouse?
that's the saying i gues it's true a lot of people think my husband and I are sister and brotherIs it true that most couples start looking like each other, as years go by? Do u kinda look like your spouse?
How funny. I have always thought that Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband look alike, and Anne Heche and her (now ex) husband had the exact same face, I swear!!

I do not look like my spouse. For several years, people would tell me he looked like some soap opera actor, can't remember, and I hate soap operas, so I was just always like, ';oh, ok'; I think he looks like Eddie Cybrian, (spelling??) and I have often been told I look like a young Tea Leoni.

So, in short, we blow the theory, I guess. Wonder what it means if you do or don't marry someone who looks like you? Very interesting.
Not in my case - I'm fair skinned w red hair and love brown-eyed men with dark hair. Been married twice - no resemblance whatsoever. But then maybe we just weren't married long enough to start looking like each other. I disagree completely with your theory regardless of my personal experience.
My husband is a 6 ft. dark skinned Black w/a beard. I'm a 5'3';, light skinned Black w/Asian-looking eyes. We've been married almost 29 yrs. and STILL don't look like each other!! It's a good thing that saying don't apply to everyone because both of us would look pretty jacked up!! LOL!
My husband has 'Viking' heritage - 6'4, blonde and as he is an Army Officer, slim %26amp; fit. I am of meditteranean origin. 5 feet nothing, slightly round and very dark. We look like The Odd couple but share the happiest marriage.
Maybe the reason why this happens is because you eat what your spouse eats so if you both cook fatty foods then you both end up overweight but if you both eat less fatty foods then you both look slimmer and your children will be the same.
With my new husband and I we looked like we were together for years when it was only one month. Even our pharmacist had said how good we looked together.
Well many people say that my husband and I look alike, which I absolutely disagree. I have no idea why people see us that way.
Oh dear dawg, I hope not. My husband is 6'3';, wears a size 13 shoe and has a nose like Jimmy ';Snozzle'; Durante.
    i sure hope not
Oh my GAWD..my husband looks just like SANTA CLAUS!

Is it illegal to take your own kid out of state without telling your spouse?

my mother in law and her daughter are in danger and are going to run to a different state. husband knows nothing. is this illegal. Is it illegal to take your own kid out of state without telling your spouse?
I think you would need permission to take them out of the country, not the state. Is it illegal to take your own kid out of state without telling your spouse?
Because you've neglected to state whether or not you are in the process of divorce it could be a problem.

    If you aren't divorced, both parents have a legal right to the child until a court decides who the legal custodial parent will be. To deny the other parent of the right to ';visitation'; could be construed as ';parental kidnapping.';

Crossing a ';jurisdictional boundry'; or state line could further complicate your problem of which you DON'T want to do! Because you and your child are legal residents of the state you are in...that state holds ';jurisdiction'; over any child proceedings until the court of another state shows cause to take jurisdiction.

You can obtain a legal document called an ';Ex Parte'; which will give you temporary ';emergency'; child custody until a judge has the opportunity to hear the entire case.

I'd STRONGLY suggest you contact a local attorney in your area that specializes in family law.

    Best wishes!
    Yup!
It could be depending on what the court order for visitation is. Much better to contact a lawyer or a social service agency for help. It depends what kind of danger they are in. An agency can keep them safe till charges are brought against the man if there is abuse. Trying can do it on your own can be devastating to all concerned.
I suggest she contact a lawyer.
It's not illegal if there is not a restaraining order in place, and that is an order usually a judge will sign at the beginning of a divorce process.

If a celebrity was flirting with your spouse?

What would you do? Would you act any differently because it's a celebrity, than from a normal person?

Also what if it was Miley Cryus who was flirting with your boyfriend? If a celebrity was flirting with your spouse?
i'd Beat her down...then ask for her autograph and a pic...but she might be a little out of it and bloody so i'd wait for her to come to before doing the whole pic and autograph thing-lolIf a celebrity was flirting with your spouse?
well i don't have a husband so i'll answer the miley cyrus question

if she did then i wouldn't care because she's no threat to me. She isn't a good person and even if she was pretty, her personality makes her ugly on the outside. My boyfriend would probably be making fun of her the whole time she's flirting with him, and she's so clueless, she wouldn't know. cool question:) star!
i would go madder. i mean, it annoys me how celebraties think they are so much more better than everyone else. so they would probably think that would give them the right to flirt with other peoples boyfriends! but yeah id go mad, id want to hit her whoever she was, especially if it was miley cyrus!
Well I wouldn't do anything. If my significant other was flirting back in a way that bothered me I'd walk out - it wouldn't matter who the other person is, famous or not I would expect my SO to be loyal.
I am not married, but if a woman like Paris Hilton was flirting, she would go to her next celebrity event bald. If Miley cyrus was flirting with him I would smack her so hard she would turn into Hannah montana and back again.
i'm single at the moment but i would punch them in the face. unless it was a celebrity i like.

miley cyrus i would punch in the face in a heart beat.
the only difference between me and a celebrity is that they have money because we both have fans, so i would just treat them like a normal person and cause a huge sence
    I would tell Hannah Montana, ';Back off, you're not 18 yet. You can't have the best of both worlds.';

I know... such a lame joke.

    =)
I don't care. If she's cute then the three of us can head back to her penthouse. And, Miley is way to young to even gain intrest from my spouse. LMAO
I would have no problem. I would be jealous, but I would wait till he made his move, or not. If he made his move, so would I. My foot on his backside as he heads out the door.

i wouldn't care. i would if it went further than just flirting. I don't like Miley so I wouldn't care.
I'd react the same as any other person. Laugh at them and say ';have fun trying but he's completely committed to me';.
im a boy so if iley cryus was flirting with me i wud be thinking

    I dont have a spouse
my b/f is 55 so I doubt Miley Cyrus would be interested
If Miley Cyrus Was Flirting With My Boyfriend I'd Be Like You Have a Boyfriend Girl
    Oh man,,, lol!

    Poor Miley
    Pfft. Take her
i would tell dude to back off and that this woman is already taken.

How do you feel about your spouse's friends of the opposite sex?

My wife has one guy friend that she talks to on a regular basis. She asked how I felt about it.I told her that talking on the phone and email is ok,but when they start ';meeting'; for lunch, there's a problem. I don't have any friends of the opposite sex but I do work with all women at my job,but I dont associate with them after hours. How do you feel about your spouse's friends of the opposite sex?
I think thats fair. I would never tell my boyfriend/husband who he can be friends with and would expect the same in return. In fact, I have guy friends who are really good friends and my boyfriend doesn't seem to have a problem with it...because he trusts me. I've always told him that its fine with me if he has friends who are girls, as long as they know me too. we all hang out. It's fair to set guidelines, but it would be totally unfair for either of you to tell eachother who the other one can be friends with. How do you feel about your spouse's friends of the opposite sex?
My hubby has a couple girls that he is friends with from work, but he doesn't talk to them much through email or phone. Heck, I think I might talk to them more than he does now. I have a couple guy friends from before meeting my husband that I may email or text once in a while, but I don't meet for lunch or at the bar without my husband present. Not because he said I couldn't but because I don't think it is right for a married woman to have alone time with other men that can be misconstrued as a date (whether it is or not).
I'm okay with it as long as I know the woman and have a good relationship with her. There was the this woman who lived nearby (she moved away now) and she used to approach my husband when he was outside and away from me and acted very flirty with him. She would ignore me when she saw me and wouldn't give me the time of day. I told my husband that if he valued our relationship he better not talk to that woman again. He stopped talking with her after that.

I saw her on the street a week after I talked to my husband and told her I know what a nasty skank she was and if she kept flirting with my husband I was going to put my foot up her ***. She left him alone and moved away shortly there after. Problem solved!
i don't much care. i'm secure enough in both my relationship with my fiancee and my masculinity to know that men and women both have friends of the opposite sex. in fact, many of my friends are women, and she doesn't care either, since she knows most of them.

i'd probably have a problem if they went out one on one, but i wouldn't stress about it. i'd just ask what was going on. i'd only worry about it if she tried to hide it.

You guys are married. I know there are things that my husband did not like for me to do, so I changed them to Please HIm. It goes both ways. For the sake of your relationship sometimes you need to be willing to make changes. What she is doing is not extremely bad, but you don't like it. So she needs to change it. It's part of working at your marriage. You have to be willing to change something when she asks of you as well. My husband is just like you. He doesn't even associate with females. I'm more friendly and have always had male friends. But I had to change my ways. I want to stay with him forever and if I need to change than I will. For the sake of our marriage.
My husband doesn't have any friends of the opposite sex except our friend's wives. I personally like it that way.

I have good guy friends from before my husband and I met, and now do not go hang out with them unless my husband is with me, and really don't even talk to them on the phone out of respect for my husband.
My girlfriend has a couple of male friends that she has known from childhood and they will send her a message for her b/d or over the festive season, when we have gone out and run into some of them she has a long chat with them and I am ok with all of this.

Why should she lose all her male friends because I have come into her life- it is not that she goes out with them whilst I sit at home.

If she has known them for all this time and not had a physical relationship with them then why would she have one now?

My bf still hangs out with the opposite sex sometimes. It never bugs me at all because i trust him. I do however hate when he text he last ex before me. I don't know why she is the only one that i can't stand him talking to. Luckily he hates her to and only talks to her because they have a baby together. SO....
We don't have friends of the opposite sex.

We have each other, that's more than enough ';opposite sex companionship'; for the both of us!
my best friend is a girl. My wife loves her. We have been great friends for 15 years.
in the beginning i was okay with my ex having one friend of the opposite sex but then he cheated on my with her. so no
The only opposite sex friends that we have....are friends to the both of us...
This is a hard one. It all comes down to trust. My husband freaks out all the time if he thinks I am even talking a little bit to the guys at work on a non-pro level. I would never ever cheat. I do like to joke and talk and I use to go to lunch. I stop the lunch in fear that the hubby would find out and freak out. It is all because he has no trust. He does on the other hand work with a lot of girls and I could care less that he does.In my mind if he is going to cheat well so be it. All I can do is love him when I have him. Treat him with the respect a spouse desires and be a good wife. If he wants some else what ever it doesn't matter if I say he can have female friends or not. He claims he doesn't I know better. I have guy friends and I would never ever cheat. Any how. You either trust your wife or not. If it bugs you too much think about how she will respond once you bring it up.Once this is talked about it can be more trouble sometimes. But I do think you should has a husband just say you feel a little uncomfortable with where this is going you would prefer her not to go to lunch alone with any one guy from work. Be gentle with how you say things. DO NOT compare how you are. men and women are different. We just like friends while men go to work to go to work. (most any way) Good luck

My husband is getting sent to camp Carroll south Korea and its uncomplaining spouse and can he find an apartme?

my husband is getting sent to south korea and he want to know how can he looks for an apartment so i could go with him over there. i want to know what can i do to. how can i look for an apartment where or what does he need to do. we really don't know how it is to leave there and i want to know information on all this thing that he my need to know please let me know all the information he my need.My husband is getting sent to camp Carroll south Korea and its uncomplaining spouse and can he find an apartme?
I was stationed at Camp Carroll in 1994. The town outside the post is Waegwan and it is not very big. Accompanied housing is in Taegu. I had several friends that did have their wives with them and lived in the town. It is not easy, living standards are completely different, almost no Korean except the club girls speak English. It would be very tough for you adapting. Either extend for an accompanied tour or let him go by himself for the one year tour. You will not have very much to do and get extremely bored. My husband is getting sent to camp Carroll south Korea and its uncomplaining spouse and can he find an apartme?
Larry Smile is incorrect as far as information regarding Non-command Sponsored spouses. You can get a SOFA stamp with the appropriate visa that will allow you to stay in country for longer than what is allowed with just a basic tourist visa. Medically, you will be covered under Tricare Standards (with the applicable deductibles). Getting medical appointments on base can be problematic for those NCS, but it isn't impossible. Medical treatment on the economy is pretty much on par with what you get in the US for most specialties.

Your hubby will have to get permission to live off base with you. You, however, will get OHA and commissary privileges (ration card) once you are in BIDS.

Korea is becoming more normalized and there is a push for soldiers to sign up for command sponsorship (Which is what the forms that Jennifer mentioned all deal with).

As for apartment hunting, it is something that is best done once here as a lot of places are not listed online. Keep in mind that the realtors do know the amounts each rank receives and unlike in the US where you can pocket the difference between your lease and your BHA, you can't do that over here.
essentially you wil be living off base and off the economy so if the korean landlord screws you, there isn;t much you can do. He will have to find you a place after duty hours and then he can send for you but you will have to get shots first for Korea and so will any kids you have if you have any.
You need to have your husband check. they just passed something june 1 or 2 where if you agree to stay in korea for 3 years you get to go with him and get a bonus.
    Its a **** hole------good luck.
only wives that can be there are Koreans
what the hell are you trying to ask? I got sick and quit reading
    Hello Yolanda,

Now, I an assuming that your husband is in the Army.

';Camp Carroll is located on the south east portion of South Korea, in Waegwan, close to the city of Daegu. It is named after Sergeant First Class Charles F. Carroll, a posthumous recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross for his acts of heroism during the Korean War.

Camp Carroll is located at the outskirts of Waegwan. The surrounding area is comprised mainly of service businesses (e.g. dry cleaners, barber shops, Bars), and caters to an equally American and Filipino crowd, as many of the soldiers are American and many of the women are Filipina. The city itself is a short bus ride from Daegu or Gumi.

Though small in size, Camp Carroll holds a population of approximately 3000. The population itself consists of military personnel, Department of the Army employees and contractors, as well as Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army Soldiers (KATUSA). Warehouses and lots make up a large portion of the location, as one of its main functions is to house war reserve stocks.

    A movie theater, Post Exchange (PX), commissary, swimming pool, bowling center, community center, Paint-ball range, and various other amenities can also be found at Camp Carroll.';

He is there with most of the other 3,000 Army people on an Unaccompanied Tour. That means no family as there are not enough base facilities, housing, medical care, schooling for dependents, and more for families.

He will be living in the barracks.

Now, here is what you CAN do if you have enough money for it. You can get a US Passport and a tourist visa for up to 30 days and visit South Korea if the Korean Embassy permits the visa. You would have to stay in a civilian hotel. Your husband could, maybe, take some leave and you could visit. I would also recommend getting a Japanese visa too. Maybe go for a few days to Japan and Seoul So. Korea as a tourist.

But, you will not be afforded American medical care, unless an emergency. Because, you will not be there under the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) between the US and So. Korea.

It will be expensive, especially in Japan. Of course, it may not be possible that your husband would be free to even be with you much of that time. The Army comes first - always.

But, don't think that you can come over to live for a year down town and he will be with you every night and every weekend.

Ask your husband to consider volunteering for an accompanied consecutive overseas tour to Okinawa, Japan. There you will really enjoy being overseas with him. There are 20,000 Americans on Okinawa, the island is beautiful, the weather is beautiful, the people are great, the food is great, and the assignment is great for all branches of the service.

    Best wishes.

Oh my gosh yayyy lol my hubby is in South Korea at Camp Casey, I think you'll be about an hour away or so from us. I'm moving there within a few weeks though. He was unaccompanied when he first got his orders but you can get command sponsorship so they will pay for your flight and all your things to get moved. All you need for that is a DA form 5888, 2792, 7246. Go get a basic physical, the 5888 needs an EFMP stamp which you'll need to make an appointment with a medical doctor that does those at the closet base near you. For apartments just type in Camp Carroll and their page should pop up and look under their numbers for the housing office and call them. Call the commercial number and if it doesn't have the country code then it's 011 and then you do the area code (not too sure of Camp Carrolls but for Camp Casey its 82). Once your there you'll have to apply for OHA so they'll pay all or most of the rent and utilities. I haven't been there yet but my husband and friends like it, you have to go there with an open mind though. It's pretty cool, they have amusement parks, water parks, a pretty cool zoo, temples to look at and tons more. I think near Yongsan is a 9 story mall...oh and they have regular restaurants like Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Hooters, Popeyes, Burger kind, Taco bell and more! If you have a myspace you can find me at www.myspace.com/mrschristopherneal or email me at jennifer.neal09@yahoo.com. On my MySpace I have two friends that are already there and have been there for a few months so you can also talk to them.

Ok and not to be rude or anything but don't listen to what those people are saying A LOT has changed in the past few years, you don't need shots before you go but it is recommended...people made me believe that it was dirty and dangerous and every other bad thing imaginable but truth be told it's like being in the United States with a few differences. Oh and if you do go for the command sponsorship you need a passport and it won't matter if it's a tourist one or a no fee one and you can get your A3 Visa once you get there and you'll have up to 90 days to get that.

Has anyone divorced their first spouse that was an alcoholic, and ended up marrying another alcoholic?

in their second marriage? Do you think if you marry someone with substance problems, you will always be drawn to those type of people in every relationship?Has anyone divorced their first spouse that was an alcoholic, and ended up marrying another alcoholic?
I don't think that you will always be drawn to those type of people, i was involved with a heavy drinker for a while and it sucks, relationships with alcoholics rarely work. Some people feel they can fix people, or that if the alcoholic loves you they will change or quit. That is not the case most times. But my bf I'm with now used to drink very heavily and has stopped, it saved our relationship, so it does happen. For me I'm the type of person who makes excuses for other people, and i got tired of it. So I broke it off, he quit drinking for himself in the end and we ended up together. I don't think anyone wants to be an alcoholic, or that you will always end up with one because you were with one before.Has anyone divorced their first spouse that was an alcoholic, and ended up marrying another alcoholic?
I think that is sometimes what happens. In my case I think I have always been drawn to that kind of people becasue growing up my whole family were alcoholics except my mom but she enabled it all so there was not much difference.
I think that you are drawn to these people for a reason, maybe you had an alcoholic parent, and will always be drawn to them until you figure it out.

For anyone that is a spouse of a railroad conductor?

What is life really like for the spouse of someone working for a railroad company. I hear alot of talk about the crazy hours conductors work and how they are never home. So what is it like for the spouse, is it awful or is it something you just get used to.For anyone that is a spouse of a railroad conductor?
as a career railroader I can tell you a few things about what it takes to survive as a spouse.

my wife is quite independent, she likes it when I am there of course but if I am not there, she still lives her life.

    a very difficult balancing act.

It was hardest on her when the kids were small I think, there were some tough times but she is strong and independent.

A lot of railroader's wives that need their spouse there all the time just dont make it.

Sad to say it is very hard on marriages.

Some get used to it, some just never do. In our case, it worked well because if we were together all the time she would get tired of me and kick me out.

Good Luck, it can be difficult, if you both have a spontaneous personality and dont need a strict schedule it can work, depends so much on the individual. For anyone that is a spouse of a railroad conductor?
Even though I am not married, i live with my father and I can tell you what it is like for someone that works on the railroad!

-It will take time getting use to the hours that he/she may be working. Railroads run 24/7 and my father might pop in at 2pm and have to go to sleep. He would probably be called out for a train at 10pm if there was one. For the most part, you can count on him/her being called for a train.

-A lot of times depending on Season, Business and what commodities that section of line handles my father was out of the house no more than 3 days a week as he would be placed in a hotel at the other end of his route for rest and bring back a train the next morning/night/whatever.

-However there are some circumstances, where someone will mark off of a job such as a (local freight) and my father was gone for an entire week working the job at the other end of his route.

-As i said the hours are crazy, he/she does care about you because this job pays very well, puts food/shelter over you.

-Also if he/she retires from the railroad after working ex. amount of years, etc. Railroad Retirement not only covers he/she, but if married the spouse receives half of what he/she gets on top of that!

Lots of benefits and something that you will have to get use to. The railroad has its rewards!
Excellent question. Though not a spouse I can offer some insight.

A successful railroad career begins with a good railroad wife at home, and a good railroad wife is usually a strong, independent type of person.

You'll likely be alone when a child needs stitches or breaks an arm on the jungle-gym, ditto in the case of being sick with a bad cold or the flu. It is equally likely that you'll attend some school plays alone or have hubby gone once in a while during some sort of holiday or birthday celebration.

But it's not entirely the end of the world, unless you're not comfortable or capable of handling these types of things when the ol' man is out of town.

Still, it isn't as easy as it sounds. My first two wives weren't good railroad wives, but number three has checked out just fine.

What I'd like to hear is comments from a spouse whose WIFE works for the railroad...
My wife likes it when i go to work, it gives her time to do whatever she wants around the house. She knew what the job was like before we even started dating, and has come to accept that sometimes plans must be broken. She understands that it is not because i don't love her, but because the job is demanding in that respect.

If you have a strong, trusting relationship with your husband, i would say that it is a good opportunity for the both of you. Just please be understanding that he is doing the job for YOU, he wants to give you something better, and it is demanding of his time. It will be a stress on your marriage if either one of you let it.

Just make sure that you both trust each other to not fool around when he is out of town, and understand that harassing him about missing juniors recital is not going to help. He already understands that it is important, and doesn't want to miss it, but if it comes between not being there sometimes, or not putting food on the table he is being responsible and doing what is right.

I am not saying that you would do any of the things listed above but i know that a good majority of railroaders are divorced (some many times over) but that is because (in my opinion) they always put the job first. They never paid enough attention when they were home to know when they needed to stay home for a day, or two to work on their marriage or their relationship with their family.

I hope that i haven't been too confusing with my answer.

Good luck, and if he is going for a RR job, i say go for it.... it is rewarding, and pay is good.... most railroaders enjoy the job, but not the management.
I'd get my wife in here to answer this but she's too busy dancing around the phone hoping it will ring and i'll go to work! Sheesh i've only been home 5 days.Oh well. They do say absence makes the heart grow fonder.Albert gave you a pretty good answer already anyways.

Albert are you a clone of Bob kinda like Rango did?

Is it ok for a spouse of an alcoholic to attend AA without them?

Someone once told me maybe I should attend some AA meetings because my husband is an alcoholic. I am just not sure if it would be akward, if it's accepted, all that stuff. My husband will not attend AA, he says he doesn't have a drinking problem. Is it ok for me to attend alone? Is it ok for a spouse of an alcoholic to attend AA without them?
I think you should seek out Al-Anon, the companion organization for family members of alcoholics. This program would give you the support of people who are going through the same things you are, and probably more in tune to what you need than the AA meetings geared for members in recovery. Good luck.

    http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/meetings/鈥?/a>

    Quote:

The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.

Al-Anon is not allied with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any cause. There are no dues for membership. Al-Anon is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions.

Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic. Is it ok for a spouse of an alcoholic to attend AA without them?
I think it's called Alanon, instead of AA.

For teens, it's called Alateen (not sure of the spelling).

But here is a set of articles that may also help you:

They have a special branch for just that, it is called Alanon, for those that are dealing with the alcoholic
AA is for alcoholics, but there is Al-anon meetings for spouses, family of alcoholics. It can help. Good luck.
You really need to start talking to your husband seriously about his drinking. My uncle said he didn't have a drinking problem for years until it was too late. He killed himself over stupid things because he was always drunk.

If this is really serious I would start giving him options if he doesn't start going to those AA meetings. If you have kids it has to be so hard on them.....I'll keep you in my prayers. He needs help.
yes you can go alone they do advise you to try and get your husband to go but if he wont then go alone they can offer you support which is something you need lots of, they will give you tips on how to help your husband help himself but remember the hardest thing is admitting that you have a problem. keep strong

  • How and when did you know you were going to marry your spouse?

I was just wondering when you knew your current spouse was the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with.

Thanks people! God Bless :)How and when did you know you were going to marry your spouse?
When we were spending more time together than apartHow and when did you know you were going to marry your spouse?
after an hour after i met him, I was 14. now i am 23 and happily married. He is my best friend. We got engaged when i was 14 as a joke of course and he was older then me and he ended up dating someone else and i always told him when i am older ur going to marry me. We stayed friends and then he moved away and we stayed in contact for awhile and then one day i got a text on my phone saying its time to get married. Little did i know it was the man of my dreams. He had just got done with school and got my number from my brother.
The first time I laid eyes on him. I was at the fair with my friend, and I saw him looking at a painting. I told my friend on the spot, ';THAT is the man I'm going to marry';....and I did, one week later.

That was in 1989, we're celebrating our 20th anniversary this July :)
I knew within a few months. When it is real, it doesn't take long to know. I just had to wait and make sure we were on the same page with major issues, then I proposed and now we have been married 3 years.
After about a month or two of dating I knew. It wasn't a sudden revelation, but rather a gradual realization.
I loved him so much! One day he nervously said ';I'm gonna marry you one day, you know that?'; and I just laughed because it was so cute.
I curse that moment of temporary insanity every so often.
';Well she was just seventeen, if you know what I mean,

And the way she looked was way beyond compare

how could I dance with another

    when I saw her standing there?';
With in the first month.A life time ago best choice i ever made.
first day i say him! i was 18, and naive, divorced now!
I knew on about Jul 10 or 11

What would cause a military spouse to stray?

I was just curious cause i've seen a lot of my buddies go through hell in a place that isn't much better because their spouses see fit to step out on them as soon as they get deployed. It pisses me off cause they're already going through so much hardship and that's just unnecessary stress on top of everything else.

**For those who stay true, God bless you and your solider, marine, airman or sailor.**What would cause a military spouse to stray?
While the military is certainly a part of the equation in those relationships, I think it is important to realize this problem happens in the civilian world just as often. In the case of deployed spouses, it could be a number of things...feeling so alone they turn to someone else for comfort, the stress of being apart (especially if it has happened before), the fact that the marriage was probably struggling already (weather the deployed member was aware of it or not), the wife wanting to ';get back'; at her husband for ';leaving her behind'; to deal with the day to day all alone (and yes, I know that the deployed member is facing challanges far more life threatening, but that doesn't change how the spouse may feel). There are myriad reasons, most that don't make much sense to the hurt party. Know that for many spouses, it is not done deliberately, but most often as a way to ease their own pain and lonliness. And for every deployed spouse that is cheated on by someone back home, there are faithful spouses cheated on by deployed members as well. Neither side is immune..What would cause a military spouse to stray?
I've been in the military for 22 years and had many deployments. However, I've only been married for 11 months and deployed 10 of them. My wife and I are 100% faithful due to a deep commitment and constant communication. We do relationship courses together via email and telephone and do whatever it takes to support one another.

Those guys and gals I work with who cheat should not be married. Period. They have put their lust as more important than their spouse and his/her feelings and the marriage. Period.

No one sleeps around that has true and deep love for their spouse. If you are bored with your marriage, and can't find that spark again, then get divorced. It has run its course and it is better to save the heartbreak or be honest with one another and work it out.

Maybe to those of you that have been married 10+ years I sound a little naive, but those are the facts. I know that I will never cheat and I know that I would suffer the pain of divorce rather than cause that pain.
Just because they are deployed doesn't mean it was a happy home before they left. Not everybody is built to be the support system at home. I'm also in the military and seen both sides the faithful wife at home while the husband is doing him in iraq (my ex-husband) also seen the stressed out husband/wife in iraq while the husband/wife at home is doing wrong. It works both ways but on both sides it's hard it just has to be a strong relationship from the start and that's not always the case.
In the military in order to play ';house'; you have to basically be married. These days more people live together without getting married. In the military you have to be married to live together (onpost) and to get the extra money (which is a HUGE reason why some military men want to get married). There are so many people that I've ran into that are married and they're so young and when you ask them how long they've been together some will say ';Oh we got married after knowing each other a few months.'; Usually, not always, but usually those marriages aren't going to work. I think when the wives ';step out'; it's because they didn't have a good solid relationship with their husband in the first place. Remember that some of the men do the same thing out there as well. I live on an Army Post and I've heard a few stories of this happening and I've actually known one neighbor that did it to her husband. They never had a good realationship when he was home they would both get drunk and have domestic charges on them and what not. My point is that most of the couples that have a good solid realtionship make it through deployments.
The reason they stray is because they are human trash.

The justification given by some posters is irrelevant.

If one is married or living as such then the deal is done.Honour and loyalty must persevere through adversity.

I understand there may be many needs and issue that lead to temptation but they should be overcome.

If ones wife/girlfriend becomes unfaithful then better without.

It really depends on the individuals in the relationship...if you are both in love and you want to make the relationship work badly enough it will.

Everyone cheats for a different reason, some cheat for emotional reasons, others cheat for revenge, or just for sex. Honestly you can't really judge someone based on if they cheated or not...everyone has different reasons why...However I myself would NEVER cheat on my loved one while they were deployed...I think someone who does that it shows a lot about their character or really lack thereof.

I love my Marine, and respect him too much to do something like that to him. This last deployment was tough but I think our relationship flourished more because of it....we not only trust one another but we have a new appreciation for what we have together :)
Its because the spouse cant handle the deployment, they are stupid and what ever other colorfull words I cant put here. I speak from experience. My last deployment, my ex slept with every tom, dick and harry she could open wide for. The reason I know this is because she was three (3) months preg when I got home and tried to tell me at her 6th month it was mine. Her friends and my friends kept tabs on her and kept me updated while I was gone and so when I learned she lied and cheated, I slammed her @$$ with the papers. Some only look at the benifits they can skim off the service member and when the deployment comes up, they are on the market all of a sudden.
You got to cut them some slack. It's far harder on the one left behind then the one going to something new.

I was offshore once and heard this conversation.

Oil field worker: Hey baby. They asked me to stay on another week (we'd already been offshore 5 weeks and this was to be the 6th)

Wife. Pause . . . I'm getting laid tonight hope you can make it. ::Click-dial tone:: He drug up (went home)

EDIT PS I was a navy brat and did a 4 year hitch in the USAF. I grew up on Navy Bases 4 years in Guam stand out as the most sexually charged base and even in 1969-72 wives were not faithful, they were however much smarter. And teenage boys got a big windfall (that wouldn't work nowadays with the pedophile hysteria gripping this country)
im both a spouse and a soldier, and the answer is not easy, however people change with time apart. I dont agree with it, especially when I see how it affects the performance of my soldiers, but I also see the way they act when away from home, and thats not good either.

Time apart creates independence which is a deal breaker if not taken care of.
If you are meant to stay together you will. If you are not, you will not.

Divorced right after retirement and much more happy in my second marriage with a fantastic wife, 5 adult children (3 from 1st, and 2 steps) and 14 grandkids. And I was the one who stayed faithful.
Cause some people just arent cut out for that life. i have seen many of my husbands soldiers wife cheat and go out and party when they are just gone for the week for the field, its crazy...
Why do civilians cheat? Because they are weak.

The same reasons that cause civilian spouses to cheat. I have heard about every justification on earth so far, from

';12/15 months is a long time without sex (heard the same back when it was only 6, anyone remember SFOR and such?)'; to

';you just don't know what it's like (oh yeah, I do)'; to

    ';we were drunk (don't get drunk with people that are not your friends or husband/wife!)';

and let's not forget the good old

';I was so lonely'; and many, many others.

And yes, there are enough servicemembers cheating while away, too, yet somehow they fall under the radar a lot. While we at home may not be in dangerous situations like you guys are, it isn't the easiest life either for us, and it gets harder to ';soldier on'; when your soldier can't keep his/her pants up.

In the end it's all just cheap sex, and in most cases those people don't quite understand the difference between true feelings and sex. Do I miss sex when my husband's gone? Yeah, but I miss my husband more and wouldn't wanna do anything to lose him due to my own stupidity. Besides the fact that I don't want anyone else touching me and kissing me like my husband does.

It will keep happening though, and as sad as it is, you can't stop it. It's not just the young ones either, seen the older ones who have been married for a while get fed up and look for some comfort on the side.

The good thing is that there are way more faithful spouses than ones that cheat, you usually just don't hear about them like you hear about the cheaters. Don't let this stop you from getting close to someone, we're not all cheaters, and most of us stand by our men/women :)
    they get horny?
