Can a spouse of military join the military?

My husband is an enlisted Air Force member and we just got married. I was looking into joining the Air Force after I finish college (most likely as an officer). Is this allowed? I heard I might have to get a waiver, but I don't know...Can a spouse of military join the military?
You will able to join the Air Force no problem. I had several friends during my time who were married to an officer. Since you were married prior to getting your commission there shouldn't be any problem. With that said, you won't be allowed in the same unit, you'll have to watch what you do in public because certain rules do apply. When you speak to your recruiter/officer selection officer they will explain more in depth the rules. Can a spouse of military join the military?
You were married before you joined, so shouldn't be an issue. You do not need a waiver, but you will not be able to work together at all.

My husband has a co-worker that is in the same situation in the Army. It was fine, but they are in the same field so they are having trouble being able to be at same post.

Double check with recruiter, but don't worry about it too much.
Sure you can but you need to look at life.

It is done but his career, your marriage, having a later family will end up being a big difficulty later. People can say whatever about the rules but in the end it will end in disaster for most.
you would have to get a waiver if going in as an officer, as there are rules about fraterization with with officers and enlisted!
Why shouldn't you be able to join as well? I dont see a problem with it.
Yes... since you were married before becoming an Officer then by regulation its allowed.
Sure, many have done so.
