Our families are completely different. We both feel like oddballs. My family is blue-collar, non-college educated folk. Pioneer stock. I am 6'4 250 and my sisters are all around 5'10 and curvy.
My wife's family knows money, all went to college, my wife is 5'6 115 pounds and the men in her family are smaller than my sisters... when we throw a dinner party for 10 there is enough food for 50 people, when they throw a dinner party for 10 there is enough food for 5!
We all think the others are nuts, but we all learn from one another and after nine years of marriage we love them all. We have differences but we are there for each other... that is what family is. We are all Bear Hugs.. they are all hand shakes! ... it works.Do you feel like an Oddball married to your spouse and to their family?
I used to feel like I was the oddball to my spouse and his family. One is that we are from different parts of the country and were raised differently. I am from the west coast(actually the pacific northwest) and he is from the south. That should be enough to tell you how different things were. Then I am alot taller than him and his family. That much of a height difference just got weirdDo you feel like an Oddball married to your spouse and to their family?
Nope cause my husbands older brother and 2 younger sisters are the oddballs not me lol.
His mom died 2 yrs ago in october 2006 unexpectedly at the age of 65 and i miss her and she wasn't an oddball and his dad who is 72 has been in a nursing home since his mom died with Alzheimer's and he wasn't an oddball either but like i said the rest of his family is.
I never felt like an oddball to my ex's family. I use to feel like I was never good enough for them. They had always thought that I was never good enough to be in their family. Now divorced so now I am not acknowledged and don't care. Who I am now married to I don't have to worry about that.
no. why don't you explain your question? maybe you are an oddball, like an 11 ball.
Absolutely not. They are the oddballs, not me!
I don't feel like an oddball and I am not married to his family.
I embrace my oddballness and call it ';being special';!!
after all do you really want to be like your in-laws?!
not really but on holidays when all they talk about is deer hunting and I feel like they would kill me if they took my talkitive a.. to the woods.
*** MILDRED SENT ME***
