this is a tough one, its not immoral, it is stupidity.
I think it takes more strength and considerable bravery to stay with someone who cheats. It shows the person can stick with and work through flawed systems. It shows dedication to long term commitments.





If they were humiliated in public, and still stay with the person, it shows they feel strongly about things other than what other people think of them. It shows they can take the punches and still keep up the good fight.





Maybe they truly love the person, despite their flaws. After all, if you've been with someone for decades, you know their good points as well as their bad. No one's perfect. Maybe people who cheat or exaggerate their accomplishments have superior qualities in other areas. That's usually how these things work. Look at Benjamin Franklin.





And, dare I say it, if you have that kind of dedication to your not-perfect spouse, you could fairly be thought of as potentially having that kind of dedication to your not-perfect country. You stick with it...not damn it.

I would say that you don't even have a bible. Like most people who like to pick and choose WHAT THEY HAVE is in the bible if you are true and want the knowledge to the question the person who said it best read the TEN commandments the words COVET and ADULTERY will blind you .
Yes . it is in there , Jesus says that he would rather you not divorce but (adultery) this is the only way out of a marriage other than death, that is acceptable.in God's eyes.
i know the bible does teach that if your spouse does cheat..then dump them:)..but i dont think it would be immoral to stay with the person..just dumb

There is nothing in the Bible that says that, in the old or new testament. I recommend you read Hosea that should tell you everything you need to know.
Well, if we're going by biblical standards, the adulterer will probably be stoned to death, thereby releiving the spouse the worry of whether to stay together or split up.





That is of course if the adulterer is a woman, if it's a man, it's not too big of a deal.





Divorce is shunned more in the Bible than male infidelity.





SO......My final answer is that if the man's a cheater, God wants you to stay together and deal with it.





If the woman is the cheater, sorry lady.....and the man gets to start shopping around for a new wife, after he burries the old one.

i think it's only immoral if you start becoming swingers and swapping spouses and stuff like that. Then that's consensual cheating and that's kind of immoral. Oh yeah I love that stuff about family and forgiveness too.
